We came across this really cool renovated home that sits in the mountains of Linescio, Switzerland. 200 years old, and by the exterior, it doesn't look to have aged well. But that is the surprise. Buchner Bründler Architekten took on this project and decided to only renovate the interior, leaving the outside to further be engulfed by nature and natural age. The interior however is basically a house within a house-- and boasts an inspiring minimalistic and modern approach, while still remaining cohesive with the setting. It features new concrete surfaces (each slab was brought inside then assembled), rustic wood shutters that utilize the original window frames, a really awesome bathtub dropped into the floor and much more.
