We know it can sometimes be a stress to order clothing online. You don't know exactly how it will look or fit and it can be a gamble. Frankly, it can be difficult to find a great fitting jean at a store, let alone without actually trying them on. We understand this, and do our best to communicate the fit of our items through videos, photos and simple explanation (see our how to measure post for more). But that isn't the end of it, it can't be. We continue to push ourselves to think of new and helpful ways to show our sizing and grant some more peace of mind to our supporters.
Furthermore, we have been working tirelessly to dial in the consistency with each new batch-- so a Truman 32 in Cone Mills Selvage, will fit the same as a Truman 32 in Olive Canvas. Due to the handmade nature of our products, and the fact that we employ multiple small-town factories, there has always been some inconsistencies from batch to batch depending on some of those factors.
We've been working with our sewers, adjusting the tolerance scale to be more strict and producing similar editions in the same USA factories.
Over the next few months, we'll be rolling out some more in-depth fit videos as well as other helpful fit tools. If you are lucky enough to be in or around Cincinnati, we recommend you schedule a free fitting with one of our experts. There you can try on any fit, any size-- and be confident of what you are ordering online. We also offer a custom build option for our in-store patrons (your choice of fabric, buttons, rivets, patch, tag), for the same price as a normal pair, or often cheaper depending on when the batch will be released.
