FAQ

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?

We try our best to fulfill orders in a timely fashion, and will do our best to communicate with you along the way. That said, we have very high quality standards and many items are handmade just for you. We make great clothing, not necessarily fast clothing. Our shipping times vary by product. In-stock, non-custom items usually ship within 3-5 days of order. Small Batch items may take longer due to their unique circumstances.

LOCAL PICKUPS, HOW DO THEY WORK?

So you live around the Cincinnati area and would rather pickup your item(s) at the shop? Sounds great. We allow local pickups during normal business hours at our flagship store in Cincinnati: Victor Athletics Club. We will send you an email when your order is ready for pickup. Please wait for this confirmation before coming down to the store so we are sure to have your item ready and waiting.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM HEMS?

We do! Currently, all of our jeans a pre-hemmed at a 34″ or 35" inseam (denoted on the product page). If you’d like a shorter hem, simply note it at checkout and we will hem them before they are delivered free of charge. If you are unsure of your size, we recommend trying the jeans on before requesting this service since custom hems are non-returnable. Once you find your size, you can always send them back for a free hem modification. We do ask that you pay for the shipping to get them to us. For hemming questions or to request this service, contact our custom and repairs department: [email protected]. If you’d like us to hem a pair of non-Noble jeans, or update an older pair of Nobles, we can do that too for a 25$ fee.

WHAT IS ‘SMALL BATCH’ ALL ABOUT AND HOW DO I ORDER?

In the spirit of making the best garments we possibly can, we experiment. We’ll frequently be releasing small handmade batches of clothing. From different types of jeans, to jackets and shirts– nothing is really out of bounds, so long as it can be a staple in a wardrobe. We’ll release a finite amount of items (hence the small batch), and if we deem it a success, we will likely put it into regular production. You can subscribe to our newsletter to get early notifications of an impending batch release.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

In a nutshell, we have a 30 day return policy for our regular in-stock items and a 7 day return policy for our in-stock Small Batch productions. Our made-to-order items (such as pre-orders) are not returnable unless defective (more on this below). These items are made a-la-cart just for you when you order, so while they are a great deal, the return policy is more restrictive. Be sure to read our full policy here for more details.

CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE A PRE-ORDER?

The short answer is no. It was a trade off. Pre-ordering allows our supporters to purchase a true 'made-to-order' product in any size, with a steep discount. The caveat is that there will be a 4-6 week wait time (for production) and the item will not be returnable. Taking pre-orders like this helps us fill out our production schedule, and give our supports something extra special. However, due to the personalized nature of these orders, we cannot resell the items and thus do not take returns. We recommend pre-orders for people who are confident about their size and fit.

CAN I RETURN MY SALE ITEM?

We cover this in our return policy, but the short answer is no. We rarely have sales at Noble, and when we do, they are pretty big. We have them to because people like getting a good deal, and because it opens up our brand to new people. We like them because it is a chance to clear out our workshop to make way for new things. For this reason, we do not accept returns, but will do exchanges or store credit within 7 days.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR DENIM?

Our mainstay organic denim is sourced from the famous Nihonmenpu mill in Japan. Our small batch materials vary as we like to experiment with other fabrics and denim, you can check the product pages for the specifics.

WHERE ARE YOUR JEANS MADE?

All our products are made in the USA. We have three facilities we use for all of our products: our Cincinnati workshop, our Tennessee workshop & our California workshop. You can learn more about these facilities by reading our about page & journal.

ARE YOUR JEANS TRUE TO SIZE?

Yes. Our jeans are designed and carefully cut to the actual measurements. Some clothing manufacturers use “vanity sizing”, we do not. Be sure to double-check your true size measurements before ordering. You can learn how best to measure here.

HOW MUCH WILL MY JEANS SHRINK?

Since our selvage jeans are ‘raw’– they are not distressed, or pre-shrunk. We recommend you follow our washing instructions to avoid unnecessary or unexpected shrinking. If you plan on washing them regularly like other clothes, we recommend you order a size up, and a length up. e.g. your normal size is a 32×32. Consider ordering a 33×34. Raw jeans can shrink lengthwise as much as an inch and a half if you wash in hot water or dry in a dryer (both not recommended).

I CUT MY JEANS AS I WAS OPENING THE BOX, CAN YOU DO ANYTHING FOR ME?

Each of our jeans are crafted with care and attention. Please be cautious when opening your package as we cannot offer a replacement in the event they are damaged in the process of cutting open the box.

DO YOU MAKE CUSTOM SIZES?

Currently, we do not offer custom build jeans online.

CAN I VISIT THE WORKSHOP TO GET A TOUR?

Absolutely! We've recently moved most of our workshop operations to our storefront location in Cincinnati: Victor Athletics Club. You are welcome to visit and get a tour during normal business hours. You can find hours and location information here.

WHERE CAN I TRY ON YOUR JEANS LOCALLY?

There are two spots you can find our jeans and try them on locally. The best location would be our flagship store: Victor Athletics Club. It is the home of our workshop and we keep it stocked with most sizes and fits of our current products, as well as limited edition releases and small batches (often not available anywhere else). The second location is Article Cincinnati. They also carry our jeans and often have different denim than is available at Victor Athletics Club.

DO YOU DO REPAIRS?

We do! We build our jeans from top-quality materials so they will last and weather with you. That said, denim is made from cotton– and cotton breaks down. This is a natural process and affects all denim regardless of the weight and quality. If your jeans fail in the first 3 months, by all means send them back and we’ll either repair them or replace them. For repair needs further down the road, we are happy to have our expert sewers evaluate your jeans and give you a repair quote. Most repairs are easily done and fairly common, and our team is great at fixing them. To get started, email our repair staff with a brief explanation of the problem, and if possible, attach a few photos. Send them to: [email protected]

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW JEANS?

Check out our the care section on each product page for some helpful facts about washing and breaking in your Nobles. If any other questions arise, just send a note to our customer care team and we'll give you a more thorough explanation.

DO YOU HAVE A PHONE NUMBER?

In an effort to streamline our business and offer our customers a better support experience, we've opted to eliminate our general customer support phone number. We are predominantly an web based company, so we're always online. For that reason, we are able to get back to customer requests via email very quickly. We felt it was wasteful to hire staff to wait by a phone in the rare occasion someone needed to call. For press inquiries, business inquiries, & wholesale, etc— we are happy to share the direct line of the team member responsible for those departments, but they are not publicly listed at this time. Visit our contact page, and email the department best suited for your question and we'll make sure it gets into the right hands. If you need a callback, we are happy to oblige.
